The Whitco Chainwinder 5 Disc KA Pearl White - Pearl White Gloss D1000 (GA078A) is a heavy-duty lockable chainwinder designed for timber and aluminium awning windows. It features a 5-disc wafer cylinder and is supplied Keyed Alike (KA), allowing multiple chainwinders to be operated using the same key. The push-to-lock mechanism allows the window to be locked by simply pressing the button, while the key is required to unlock it. The chainwinder provides a maximum window opening of 300mm, requiring 19 handle turns to fully open. Its foldable handle knob helps reduce interference with low-hanging blinds, while the design allows the winder to be operated through a flyscreen without removing the mesh. The standard footprint also allows it to retrofit existing Whitco MK7 and MK8 chainwinder installations. A safety restrictor clip is included to limit the window opening to either 100mm or 150mm, assisting with applicable fall-prevention requirements.
