The Killara Mk2 Twinbolt Locking Handle Kit without Cylinder (Black, Alspec Part Number: 1344013 or 1344011) is a premium, low-profile bifold hardware set manufactured by ASSA ABLOY / Lockwood and distributed via Alspec. It provides multi-point top and bottom latching security for residential and semi-commercial bifold doors and windows. Actuating the central bifold lever handle simultaneously throws or retracts vertical shoot-bolt rods into the header and sill tracks, delivering two-point security. The bolts provide a rigid 13mm throw at both terminal points, maximising resistance against physical frame prying or atmospheric wind deflection. This "No Cyl" configuration is shipped as a key-lockable handle chassis with pre-punched cylinder escutcheons but excludes the physical key cylinder barrel, allowing project fabricators to specify and install custom keyed-alike master cylinders on-site. Integrated threaded rod connections at the joints allow installers to fine-tune rod lengths and handle timing clearances on-site without cutting or modifying the steel rods. Crafted with a heavy-duty solid metal chassis and matching lever escutcheon, the kit is layered in a durable Powdercoated Black finish to complement modern, dark architectural aluminium joinery. Depending on the installation environment, the black locking kit is supplied in two catalog configurations: Alspec Code 1344013, with standard mould tips and 1 x 1.0m plus 1 x 1.3m rods, or Alspec Code 1344011, an upgraded variant with heavy-duty Stainless Steel D-Rod tips to resist harsh wear or coastal corrosion, also including 1 x 1.0m and 1 x 1.3m rods.
