It replaces the standard scissor arm profile packaged with the standard closer body to add a manual hold-open threshold. The arm is engineered precisely to slide onto and lock with the main spindle profile of the Alspec 2014 Standard/Parallel Arm Closer (1351034). It features an adjustable friction knuckle that holds the door open reliably past a set rotation angle, typically adjustable between 70° and 150°. The hold-open function is overridden by firmly pulling the door back away from its static holding position, freeing the joint mechanical clip and re-engaging the hydraulic fluid controls to close the door safely. Coated in a sleek, durable Matt Black finish, the arm is designed to match black anodised aluminium commercial storefront doors and hardware trims.
