Flush Bolt 266mm Aluminium Flush Bolt Steel Tip - Satin Chrome

The Flush Bolt 266mm Aluminium Flush Bolt with Steel Tip (Satin Chrome) is a commercial-grade recessed security lock engineered to lock the stationary (inactive) leaf of double-door assemblies or multi-panel sliding and bifold patio partitions securely into place. Designed for a recessed flush fit, the bolt is mortised directly into the edge profile of an aluminium door stile. When the door leaf is closed, the lever mechanism sits entirely flush with the frame, providing hidden architectural locking lines with zero catching points. Unlike standard domestic nylon-tipped variations that can flex under severe pressure, this heavy-duty model features a hardened steel tip at the end of the throw rod, providing maximum shear resistance against jemmying, physical impacts, and forced vertical frame separation. The body assembly incorporates a 266mm standard operating throw linkage, offering a compact internal footprint that sits cleanly within standard narrow-line aluminium framing cavities without interfering with glass pockets or midrails. It features a flip-out toggle lever handle with a comfortable finger grip; flipping the switch down fires the steel bolt tip smoothly up into the top head channel or down into the floor threshold socket. Finished in a high-grade, scratch-resistant Satin Chrome treatment, the bolt handles high-frequency touching, resists fingerprints, and coordinates seamlessly with commercial entrance handles and silver framing profiles. It is commonly used to secure the inactive panel of double open-out entry doors on commercial storefronts using Alspec framing suites, to provide structural stabilisation for large double glass leaf partitions in acoustic office dividers, and for heavy-duty perimeter lock reinforcement on residential French/patio doors at head and sill tracks.
