CE8 Co-Ext Door Buffer x 100M Roll - Black

The CE8 Co-Extruded Door Buffer (100-Metre Roll, Black) is a high-volume trade roll of commercial-grade perimeter weather-stripping and impact cushioning, widely used across architectural aluminium framing systems. Manufactured using a dual-material co-extrusion process, the buffer bonds a rigid backing plastic — for secure anchoring into aluminium frame T-slots — with a flexible, resilient rubberised bulb or fin section for optimum compression and cushioning. This construction allows it to function as a soft physical bumper inside the frame rebate, absorbing kinetic energy to reduce metal-on-metal door slamming, dampen structural vibrations, and limit room-to-room noise transfer. When compressed by a closed door leaf, the flexible profile forms a tight perimeter seal, restricting draft infiltration, wind-driven rainwater, fine dust particles, and insect access. The buffer is supplied as a continuous 100-metre roll, a bulk format suited to commercial joinery workshops and on-site glazing contractors, helping reduce material wastage across multi-storey fit-outs. Produced in solid Black, the CE8 buffer blends seamlessly within matching dark powder-coated or black anodised storefront profiles. It is commonly used across Alspec Swan Evo commercial door frame rebates, acoustic office partitioning glass door jambs, and multi-panel sliding or bifold framing perimeters subject to high-frequency compression.
