The Alspec Chainwinder HN40 (White) is a key-locking window control mechanism engineered for residential and commercial awning window suites, controlling the opening and closing of top-hinged sashes while also serving as a secure physical locking point. It is fitted with a 5-disc wafer cylinder, factory-configured Keyed Alike (KA) to the "324" key profile, allowing multiple winders across a building to be operated using a single universal key. The winder chain is manufactured from high-grade Stainless Steel, offering strong resistance to structural fatigue, wind load stress, and corrosion, making it suitable for coastal or high-moisture environments. An integrated, adjustable chain restrictor allows installers to limit maximum chain extension to 100mm, 150mm, or 300mm via a restrictor screw beneath the winder base, helping meet child-safety opening requirements such as Australian NCC/Masta regulations. The unit also incorporates a pass-through locking clutch, allowing the window to be fully wound closed and sealed even when the cylinder is in the locked position, protecting the internal gears from damage. Finished in durable White powdercoat, the HN40 blends with white aluminium window joinery, interior trim, and plaster linings, and includes a space-saving foldable handle that avoids interference with insect blinds or security screens.
