GR2 Glazing Wedge (2mm Gap) x 100M Roll - Black

The GR2 Glazing Wedge (2mm Gap) – Black is a flexible glazing wedge seal designed for use with compatible window and door framing systems. It is intended to fill a 2mm glazing gap between the glass and the corresponding frame or glazing channel, helping retain the glass securely within the assembly. The wedge is supplied in a convenient 100-metre continuous roll, making it suitable for glazing contractors, window manufacturers, fabricators and maintenance professionals who require longer lengths for multiple installations. Its black finish provides a clean appearance and can complement black or dark-coloured window and door frames. The flexible seal profile is designed to be inserted into the compatible glazing channel to provide glass retention and weather sealing. The product information supplied describes the material as a flexible PVC or rubber compound. Since the exact material composition has not been confirmed for this specific GR2 product, it is preferable to treat this as a flexible glazing seal rather than specifying a particular polymer as definitive. Before installation, the existing glazing channel should be cleaned and the required gap confirmed to ensure the wedge is compatible. For a tight installation, a suitable glazing lubricant such as soapy water may assist insertion. Hard or sharp tools should be avoided during installation to reduce the risk of damaging the glass or seal.
