The dormakaba SB2312 Classroom Lock Kit in Satin Stainless Steel is engineered for high-frequency commercial and institutional applications where controlled external access and unrestricted internal egress are essential. The classroom function allows the outside lever to be locked or unlocked with a key, while the inside lever remains permanently active. This provides controlled access from outside without creating a situation where occupants can become locked inside the room during an emergency. The lock features a 30mm backset and 70 Series narrow-plate lever furniture, making it suitable for narrow-stile aluminium and timber hinged doors. Its non-handed chassis can be configured on site for left- or right-hand doors. An auxiliary deadlatch automatically engages when the door closes, helping prevent the main latch from being manipulated or shimmed from outside. The kit is supplied without a cylinder, allowing a compatible dormakaba 130-type oval cylinder to be selected separately.
